Morning team!
A very Happy Monday to you all and I hope you had a lovely relaxing weekend.
What I LEARNED
Last week I was invited to present as a keynote speaker for a Unilever Global future of TV event. The immediate feedback I received following the presentation astounded me. The reason why I was feeling this way, was due to hearing how excited they were about our data and advertising opportunities. I know that Unilever are already spending with us on various campaigns, but when you have different senior stakeholders on a call from across Europe, some of whom are seeing our data an insights for the first time, it’s always encouraging to hear how blown away they were with what we have, and where the future is going. Needless to say, I have followed up to get further time in their diaries to work out how we can start to take some of the total media budgets that they invest in broadcast currently globally.
If that was a reminder enough about the fantastic opportunity we have in front of us here at Samsung ads, I then listened to this podcast which put an even bigger smile on my face! I’ve shared one of these episodes with you all before, as I’ve found it a great resource to find out what’s going on in the world of CTV. This particular episode I listened too last week is all about OEM’s, with them calling out what they believe our strategy is in ads. A very interesting listen and one which put a smile on my face – check it out on your favourite podcast app or on Spotify – CLICK HERE for Inside The Stream podcast
What I LIKED
One of the books I enjoy reading to my children at nighttime is about girls and boys who have done amazing things. A recent example of a story I really enjoyed reading about recently was that of Miss Sheila Macdonald. Sheila was a 22 year old girl from London, whom on the 30th Sept 1927 was the first female to reach the top of Mt Kilimanjaro. Back in 1927 the mountaineering equipment available was nothing like it is today, and the story goes that she set the pace for the rest of her male companions, slept in caves, and sustained herself with Champagne drunk from the bottle. What a bad ass!
