Morning team!
A very Happy Monday to you all and I hope you had a lovely relaxing weekend and enjoyed any fireworks or bonfire nights? Its so good to be feeling better now, and here is what I have been up to:
What I LEARNED
Pets can play an important part in people’s lives. I’m sure you all have stories of pets you had had, or indeed still have, that mean the world to you. It’s amazing the effect they can have, no matter what you may have. Last week we said goodbye to one of our rabbits, who the kids have looked after since they were little. It was an emotional time as they experienced the loss of something close to them for the first time. Fortunately we still have the brother rabbit which is getting a lot of love right now, as you can imagine.
What made this emotion period all the more manageable, was the lovely and unexpected package we received from our vets. Completely out of the blue, we received a hand written card, a plant to remember the bunny and this poem. We were blown away by the thoughtfulness and caring attitude this showed, and justified why we use them. There are so many things you can take away from this simple act of kindness, but simply showing they care is something I’ll always remember.
Warning – If you read the poem, have a box of tissues ready!
What I LIKED
Autumn is one of my favourite times of year. I love the change in colours especially on a clear blue day and going for a long walk which is exactly what I did yesterday.
For those in the UK I would highly recommend visiting Winkworth Arboretum for a stroll as its beautiful. https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/winkworth-arboretum . It’s so nice to get some fresh air, watch the kids play with nature (and not on a screen!) and just see families smiling enjoying the beauty of our planet. (It also helped to get their minds off of the loss of their pet Rabbit, Bailey). If you visit, there is also a nice pub called Inn on the Lake to warm up after 😉
Music to kick start your week
Here is a song that reminds me of those autumn days walking in the sun with a smile on your face enjoying the simple things in life. Enjoy
